About Steve
Since childhood, Steve has been passionate about informing people. By virtue of his father's military service, he was able to travel the country and beyond. Before college, he had written for five different publications (including an internationally-distributed magazine for children of military members) and worked at the American Forces Network, where he took to airwaves for the first time.

Steve's time at Indiana University-Bloomington eventually led him down the path of telling stories through video, allowing him to present by weaving combinations of visuals, sounds and words. Upon graduation with a BA in Journalism, he journeyed to Texas's Brazos Valley. For more than 12 years, he served as an anchor, reporter and producer for KBTX News, the region's CBS television affiliate. Over his tenure, he became one of the station's most recognizable and honored journalists.

Upon stepping away from that career, Steve spent nearly five years helping craft the messaging for the Brazos Valley Economic Development Corporation. After working with companies looking to launch, grow and locate in one of the state's key regions, he was presented a unique opportunity.

Recruited by the just-formed BlueForge Alliance in late 2022, Steve served as the storyteller for the non-profit organization working with the U.S. Navy and the nation's manufacturing industry to supercharge shipbuilding in America. He and his teammates traveled the nation to showcase companies, academia and other organizations ensuring the next generation of Navy vessels, in part by encouraging people to find careers in skilled trades.

When he's home in Aggieland, Steve lends his voice and talents to Texas A&M University as the public address announcer for Aggie Volleyball, Aggie Equestrian, and University commencement ceremonies. He also emcees Brazos Valley Bombers baseball and Lions Pride Sports professional wrestling, and he hosts various community events.
